Loyal Super Chevy reader James Stamey loves to show off his 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu around his Hickory, North Carolina, hometown. James built the Malibu from the ground up with a bit of help from a few local shops and people. Under the hood is a 300hp 327 engine decked out with a Holley carb and a few choice chrome accessories. The Malibu rides on Rally wheels and BFGoodrich tires. The light Royal Blue exterior shines thanks to the paint and bodywork talents of Danny Carver. West Hickory Trim Shop (Hickory, NC) gets credit for blue crushed velvet interior. James and his Malibu have won over 150 awards, including ones for Best Interior, Best Chevelle, Best Car, and a First Place at an All Chevy Show.

Wheels-up launches are no problem for the 1971 Chevrolet Nova of Kyle and Larry Benton of Kansas City, Missouri. The father and son team have done a complete rebuild over the years, with help from friends along the way. Under the hood is a 468ci big-block backed with a two-speed Powerglide. This drag racer is a "stock" suspension car, with Calvert Racing as the go-to shop for all the suspension bits. The rear tires are 28x10.5 Mickey Thompsons. To date, the 3,500-pound, with driver, Nova has a best eighth-mile e.t. of 6.60 at 103 mph.
